NY Pistol Class
The latest COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to adapt and adjust to this new paradigm. I am offering the same class virtually, through the ZOOM application.
Next ONLINE Class: August 3rd, 5:30 pm. The content is identical to the in-person class setting. The cost is $65.
This is currently approved for Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties issued pistol permits. Other counties may accept, however I recommend that you confirm that this course will satisfy their requirements before you sign up.
In addition, Jefferson County has revised the process and has new forms effective April 1st, 2020. One of the major changes is that you must submit the application with 6 months of taking this course! The class is restricted to a maximum of 20 participants and will be on a first come first served basis.
Send a copy of your driver’s license, completed affidavit (see below) and payment. You may send a check made out “Bill Kleftis”, PayPal or Venmo thru my email or phone number.
Once I have received all 3, I will forward the test booklet, blank answer sheet, class survey and ZOOM meeting details.
If you don’t already have ZOOM downloaded, do so and test before the test date.
The class is approximately 4 hours long, not including the test.
You will have 24 hours to complete the test and submit back to me.
I will generate and forward a certificate of completion to you.
Contact Bill with any questions or comments.

Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence and Oswego Counties
Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence and Oswego Counties, along with many other counties in New York State, require a certificate from one of their listed trainers, certifying that a pistol permit applicant has been trained in a preapproved course in the safe handling and use of handguns. If the course trainer is not on the county list, your application will be rejected!
